Privacy should be easy to understand. This policy explains what PairPic collects, why we need it, and the choices available to you when you share a photo, a note, or a little piece of your day.
About this policy
PairPic is operated by Morsol Systems, Pakistan (“we”, “us”, or “our”). This policy applies to the PairPic mobile app and its related photo-sharing, wallpaper, and home-screen widget features. For PairPic, this app-specific policy takes precedence over the general Morsol Systems privacy policy if they differ.
PairPic connects two people so they can share photos and captions privately. For questions about this policy or your personal information, contact support@morsolsystems.com. See the PairPic Terms of Use for sharing rules.
Information we collect
- Account and pairing information. A Firebase account identifier, pair membership, invitation state, and related timestamps. PairPic uses anonymous sign-in, so you do not need an email address or password to create an account.
- Content you share. Photos, drawings, wallpapers, and optional captions you choose to send, together with delivery information, timestamps, and approximate file sizes.
- Device and notification information. Push notification tokens, app settings, and the technical information needed to deliver content and refresh widgets.
- Reliability and usage information. Limited app usage events, identifiers transformed to reduce direct identification, and crash diagnostics. Crash reports are configured to exclude shared photos, captions, pairing invitations, and notification tokens.
- Reports and support messages. The reason and related identifiers you submit when reporting content, and information you choose to send when contacting us.
PairPic does not access your contacts or precise location. Infrastructure providers may process technical information such as IP addresses and installation identifiers to operate and protect their services.
How we use it
We use this information to create your account, connect you with your chosen person, deliver shared moments and alerts, update widgets, and apply your settings. We also use limited information to maintain reliability, prevent abuse, investigate reports, and respond to support and privacy requests.
PairPic does not show advertisements or offer in-app purchases in this release.
Your photos & encryption
For new encrypted pairs, photos and captions are encrypted on the sender’s phone before upload. Firebase stores encrypted content, and the current partner’s phone decrypts it. Connections to our backend are also encrypted in transit.
PairPic blocks sharing if your paired device’s encryption key changes unexpectedly. Encryption does not independently verify the identity of the person you pair with. Account identifiers, pair identifiers, timestamps, and approximate file sizes remain visible to the service.
A note about older pairs. Pairs created before this encryption feature may still have legacy photos that are not end-to-end encrypted. Authorized project administrators and service providers may have server-side access to those photos until they are deleted. Starting a fresh pair enables the new encrypted sharing flow.
The app removes embedded photo metadata (EXIF) before sending. A smaller copy of the latest received photo is stored locally for your widget. If you enable wallpaper features, shared images can also appear on the device screen.
Keep your screen in mind. People who can see your phone may see its widget or wallpaper. Your partner can also make independent copies or screenshots; deleting a photo from PairPic cannot remove copies made outside the service.
How long we keep it
PairPic keeps shared moments temporary. The following periods describe app-level retention; provider logs and backups may follow separate retention schedules.
| Information | Retention |
|---|---|
| Shared photos | One active photo per person. A new send replaces that person’s previous photo. Access expires after 24 hours; expired files and records are removed during hourly cleanup. |
| Invitations | Current invite links are single use and expire after 24 hours. Older pairing codes expire after 1 hour. |
| Temporary uploads | Cleaned after 24 hours. |
| Product events | Removed after 90 days. |
| Safety reports | Removed after 30 days. Account deletion also removes your reports and reports linked to your current pair. |
| Account & pair records | Used to maintain your account and connection. Uninstalling alone does not delete your account; use the account deletion option in Settings. |
| Widget image cache | Replaced as new moments arrive and cleared on unpairing, blocking, account deletion, or an account switch. An offline device may retain a cached image until its widget updates. |
Deleting a photo removes app access and deletes its stored files. Unpairing, blocking, or deleting an account deletes shared photos for both people. The device initiating the action clears its widget cache immediately. Cloud backups and provider records may take longer to expire under their applicable retention settings.
Your choices & rights
You can delete your own photos, report content, block the other person, start a fresh pair, and delete your account in Settings. You can also manage notification and device permissions.
PairPic has no email/password recovery. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data can make your anonymous account inaccessible. A new pairing creates a fresh connection; old photos cannot be restored through that connection.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal information, object to or restrict certain processing, or raise a concern with your local privacy authority. Send requests to support@morsolsystems.com. We may need information to verify that a request relates to your account.
Device permissions
- Camera and selected photos: requested when you take or choose a photo or a photo background. Camera access may also be used when you choose to scan a pairing QR code.
- Notifications: optional, for photo and other sharing alerts. You can change your choice in the app or in device settings. Turning visible alerts off can still allow silent widget updates.
- Widgets and wallpapers: enabled through the app and operating-system controls. Shared images may be visible on your home or lock screen when these features are enabled.
You can change permissions in your phone’s settings. Disabling a permission may prevent the feature that needs it from working.
Children’s privacy
PairPic is intended for people aged 16 or older. People aged 16 or 17 may use PairPic only where local law permits and with any parental or guardian consent that law requires. PairPic does not currently verify age. If you believe someone under 16 is using PairPic, please contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate steps to remove their information.
Policy updates
We may update this policy as PairPic changes. The latest version will appear on this page with an updated date. Where required, we will provide additional notice of material changes.
